Damage-Free Demolding of Complex Injection Molded Parts

The Z18140/... slide unit range from Hasco offers valuable advantages for flexible demolding of smaller undercuts or recesses.

Undercuts or recesses in many complex injection molded parts cannot simply be demolded in the main demolding direction. In such cases, movable built-in parts in the mold enable damage-free demolding of the injection molded part. Sliding elements of various designs are used for this purpose.

The complex Z18140 slide unit range from Hasco offers valuable advantages for flexible demolding of smaller undercuts or recesses. This extensive portfolio including slide housings (square and round) as well as slide locks (square, round and rectangular) provides many variable installation options. Three standardized installation geometries are available from stock, and slides are also available for contour attachments for individual mold core design. The combination of two slide variants provides twelve different assemblies in a variety of dimensions and materials, optionally with or without DLC coating. In total, Hasco offers dimensionally matched components for more than 250 innovative slide combinations.

The slide units, which can be easily mounted from the parting line, are characterized by long slide travel, among other features. Appropriate shims are available for adjusting the slide position. An optimized locking system enables high forces to be absorbed. The DLC (Diamond-like Carbon) coating of the slides guarantees very good sliding properties and a long service life. The compatibility of all components within the entire Hasco slide unit range is guaranteed.
